It was nearly six years ago that we started the paperwork to adopt from China. At the time we were hoping that the process would take around a year after the paperwork was completed. Of course that is not what happened. Yet, through it all we know that God is in control and has a plan.
In November of 2005 we began the paperwork for the adoption. We knew it would be a process as we had done the research in the previous. We worked diligently for 6 months to have all of our paperwork done in as soon as possible to submit to China for the adoption. Our paperwork was received by China and logged in on 8/1/2006 (our LID). Through numerous circumstances out of our control the time frame continued to get drawn out, and all we could do was wait. We never gave up hope, knowing that some day we would be blessed to become parents.
We now know the joy and undeniable love of having a child. Seeing her face was enough to know that everything was worth it!
